In this article you will find all information about our shipping system for sellers on our marketplace. Currently the shipping system is available for all users who ship within Germany. For shipping to or from abroad we still provide you with a shipping bill from DPD (shipping from Germany) or Post AT (shipping from Austria). For shipping within Austria you now also have the option to use a shipping provider of your choice.

1. What shipping options are available?
As a seller, you can decide yourself how you want to ship your items. You can set the shipping method directly in the product settings and change it at any time before a sale via Edit product.
You have the choice between the following different shipping options:
- uninsured shipping by large letter (German Post) at 1,55 €
- uninsured shipping by maxi letter (German post) for 2,70 €
- uninsured shipping by small parcel (DHL Päckchen) at 3,79 €
- insured shipping by parcel (DPD or DHL) at 4,99 €
- Shipping service provider of your choice or free of shipping costs
2. How can I choose the shipping method?
The different shipping options are available to you as a seller the sales formula when you post a new item on Prelved. Our system recommends you a shipping option depending on the category of the item and the selling price. Of course you can change this shipping option by clicking on the button Change shipping method.
3. Who pays the shipping?
The buyer pays the purchase price for shipping and postage when ordering. If you buy the shipping label for the sale in your sales overview, the postage paid by the buyer will be paid to you together with your proceeds from the sale.
If you use our Prelved shipping label from DPD (shipping type parcel), the shipping type large letter or maxi letter, you can download the shipping label directly for free and send your sale. Since you have not paid for the shipping label yourself with these shipping options, in this case your payout consists only of the purchase price for your item.
4) How can I select the option "own shipping"?
To do this, click on the Change shipping method button in the "Shipping and payment" section of the sales formula.
You will now have the option Own shipping. You can enter any amount for your own shipping costs or set the shipping costs to 0,00 € by clicking on I ship free of charge. This way you can also use other shipping providers. After you have posted the package, you mark your delivery in your sales overview as "shipped". If available, you can also enter a shipment number.
The buyer confirms the receipt in the account when the package has arrived. If he/she misses this, he/she will be reminded after 4 days. If he/she does not report, your payout will be automatically released after 3 more days, so at the latest on the 10th day after shipment.
5) What options do I have if I choose "own shipping"?
There are no limits for you here. Choose your preferred carrier and your preferred postage. You can also include costs for packaging materials here.
If you want to offer a special service, you can even offer your items free of shipping costs.
6. What happens after the sale?
What happens after a successful sale depends on the shipping method you have chosen.
If you have chosen the shipping methods DPD Paket, maxi letter or large letter, you will be forwarded to the free download of the shipping label directly in your sales overview after the sale. You can find detailed information here.
If you choose the shipping methods DHL Päckchen, DHL Paket or own shipping, you will be redirected directly in your sales overview to the corresponding page for the purchase of the shipping label.
For all shipping methods that do not have tracking, you must mark your sale as "shipped" in your sales overview itself. You can find detailed information here.
7. Can I change the shipping method at the buyers request?
A user is interested in one or more of your items, but wants to use a different shipping method than the one you selected? This is no problem at all. You can change the shipping method in your account until the purchase is completed. After the purchase has been made, the shipping option can unfortunately no longer be changed, as the shipping costs vary depending on the shipping method and have then already been paid by your buyer.
